"Jealousy: that dragon which slays love under the pretence of keeping it alive." - Henry Havelock Ellis
I truely believe this to be the best ink drawing that I have ever done. It is completely out of my own head, (which I am very proud of). this piece took me about 64 hours alltogether.
I previously listed this as "untitled" but thanks to Kenny, it now has a name.

Thanks very much. It took the longest time. I love Dragons. If you're into fantasy, then I'm the one you need to watch. I just joined, so I don't have many pieces on here yet. But I've got a ton to put on here.
lol, it took a very long time. The drawing is 11x14 so the detail is very precise. I used ZIG drawing pens, mostly a .005 (in case you don't know about pens .005 is very very small, the tip is barely visible.) I wanted to use various stlyes dso for the wings I used crosshatching and for the scales and the building, I stippled.

yeah it looked like it took a long time! i dont spend that long on my drawings... and yeah i also use .005 pens most of the time, they are very handy for fine detail and stuff. but nothing i do is anywhere near as detailed as yours, maybe if i spent more time on them...
Time is of the essence and when doing art for people, I never do as well because of the time constraints. lately I've been doing some more laid back work, like "rapture". it only took about an hour, so. By the way, I wasn't trying to insult your intelligence, I just didn't know if you used pens.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
